Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out with her debut as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller on a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won a second gold medal in 2007 winning a bronze in 2008, a gold in 2011, and then was named the 2016. IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. Antonina won the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012 along with the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas, who was a participant at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shevchenko set her debut professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took victory by TKO during the 2nd round. She was able to take home two more fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. She was able to earn an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote, after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive strike power in the clinch by the body with knees. The result was that Antonina received an UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina came back from losing through defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko had a 2-1-2 record in her next 3-fights, defeating Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee.
